HCG Diet Phase 1
Phase 1 of the HCG Diet is a multi-faceted approach to correcting out daily diet. Basically this is a phase that Kevin Trudeau has added to the original HCG Diet that was introduced by Dr. Simeons. For a period of about one month you follow a list of things to do and things not to do. It seems to me that completing Phase 1 on its own can result in significant weight loss on its own.
It is most interesting to me that the first 2 items are to increase water intake and increase exercise. From there, many of the items are centered on changing what we eat from unhealthy things to organic healthy things. If there is any truth to what Kevin says about the toxins in our food supply, the nature of the refined goods we eat, or the effects of stresses on our bodies ability to regulate weight, then this phase is a must do.
Special interest items for me are:
Highly processed/refined foods- These foods were engineered to be absorbed into the body more readily. (Whether this was to make us fat I question...More likely it was social-economic pressures relating to the farming industry and the international trade. More info can be found in "FAT LAND")
Growth hormones used in feeding the livestock and fish. It makes no sense for a rancher to not attempt to make his cattle fish, etc. grow bigger faster. It is simple economics. The America public wants cheaper food and to be competitive, ranchers must produce more with less. I have no idea what, if anything, these chemicals do to us, but I am thinking that it cannot be good.
Colon cleansing is something I was interested in and tried long before I read about the HCG Diet. It baffles me when I think of all the foods I have eaten over the years and how much of it could still be left in my colon. My first experience was with a colonic. I will tell you that it was worth every penny I spent on it. I have a family history of "bubble guts" and carry a reputation as a powerful room clearing agent. I was noticeably less offensive after the colonic. The procedure is simple...water is introduced to the colon via the rectum and then allowed to release back out. It is a gentle procedure but as the water dislodges things, the colon works to expel it. During my colonic, these muscles were working so hard that I broke into a sweat! If you have no hat a colonic, go get one!
